5 Keys to Receiving

5 Keys to Receiving

Save the Date! Tuesday October 1st, 6pm I’m giving a FREE live workshop on “The Magical Map in Your Hands.” Place to be determined, stay tuned. I’ll be asking you to sign up soon.

1)   Receiving requires saying “yes.” Yes to compliments, yes to opportunities, yes to the extra services offered. Yes to your dreams, and yes to whatever it takes to get you there. A very big yes to taking action on divine inspiration, because that’s the Universe’s way of providing the how. Once you decide, once you say “yes” to your dreams, the Universe opens a bunch of doorways to get you there. It’s your job to walk through them.

2)   Saying “yes” means stepping up. Stepping up requires courage. It makes you more visible, therefore makes you feel more vulnerable. It requires taking risks. You might not be liked, you might fail, you might lose money, you might even die. But when death comes, don’t you want to feel like you’ve done everything you dreamed of, or as close as you could possibly come? I signed up for some high-end high-powered business mentoring in the coming year. However it turns out, I know I will be in a whole new place by this time next year. I’m standing on deck, ready to receive (with my elbow grease ready!)

3)   Beauty is everything. I know beauty is among those things you desire. I’m not talking about some superficial thing. I’m talking about the experience of beauty that makes your soul go “ahhh…” During my own crisis of meaning, I moved from considering beauty a luxury item to considering it essential. Now I’m taking it a step further. Beauty is created through goodness and light, often in a process of friction with darkness and difficulty (called struggle). Because the world is made of light, beauty is all there is. This makes it SO important to treat yourself as the precious, gorgeous, being that you are! Appreciate your own beauty, and you’ll receive more of it.

4)   Color is powerful. Before I attended my Phoenix “Gifted” Conference last week, presented by Baeth Davis, Pamelah Landers, and the fabulous Lee Milteer, I visited my friend and associate, Lea Denmark in Sedona. (www.leadenmark.com) She does amazing work with color – her personal story of a near-death experience and how color helped her survive and heal is phenomenal. She equates color with music. Both are vibrations, one of sound, the other of light – and both move us profoundly. She worked with me to identify my “57 colors for Life.” Color affects how people perceive and receive you. Color affects you how perceive and receive your world. Think about it.

5)   There truly is magic in the world. If you’ve never been to Sedona, put it on your Bucket List. What a beautiful and amazing place! (For years I giggled and winked at all those “woo-woo” characters, so imagine my shock to find I fit right in! Yep. Guess I’m one of “those” people now!) I had an appointment with a shaman while in Sedona, and experienced a powerful shift. I met people I needed to meet, and I can feel a whole new sense of possibility unfolding. As I open my eyes and look for it, magic is everywhere. If you want more magic in your life, start noticing the magic that is already there.

Coach’s Challenge: Implement these 5 keys to receiving. How can you step up this week? What can you say “yes” to? How can you use color for delight and energy in ways you haven’t thought of? And record it in your journal. (I have a “3-G’s journal – every night I list 5 Gratitudes, whatever Gains I experienced that day (what I got done), and what Gifts I experienced.) You’ll notice even more beauty and even more magic when you start recording it like this. Answer one of these questions in your comment to me here.
