Magic in 4 Simple Steps

Magic in 4 Simple Steps

Magic is real. Honest to goodness, real.  Magic in the sense of dreams coming true, of opportunities falling into your lap that you’ve longed for – connections  appearing, people offering assistance, ideas dropping into your field of awareness. I’m a nut for all things magical, but if you don’t like that word, try “miracles” instead.

Jung called this synchronicity, and it becomes “magic” as you learn to consciously participate in the process.  We’ll be actively using these 4 steps in my upcoming weekend intensive, July 12-14.

Magic in 4 Simple Steps:

1.     Wordlessness

2.     Oneness

3.     Imagination

4.     Formation

These steps are the meat of the book by Martha Beck that I introduced last week: Finding Your Way in a Wild New World: Reclaim Your True Nature to Create the Life You Want. I invite you to pick up her book and dig in for in-depth information.

These same steps are described in anything about manifestation. But the way she describes the steps is unique, and for me, spot-on. Beck named these 4 steps as common in any of the native healing/shaman traditions she studied. As a Wayfinder yourself, you’ll want to practice these 4 steps to align your experience and your way of knowing with even better results.

Wordlessness is the first step. Beck basically encourages learning to live in the state of “Wordlessness” as often as possible. While silence can be a part of this state, it is not in itself the goal. The goal is dropping from the “head” consciousness where you probably spend most of your waking hours, to a deeper level – a body consciousness. In the latter, sensory perception increases, listening with one’s whole being occurs, judgments drop away, and living with ease in the moment bursts into reality.

The experience of wordlessness can be equated with inner peace.

My husband argues that it takes a lifetime of practice (meditation) to attain this – I argue that it is a state of being we can drop into quickly and easily, once we know what it feels like. Staying there is a whole other challenge. But getting there is not so terribly hard.

Wordlessness is the most fertile state possible for receiving inspiration for your creative endeavors. You know how an answer can come to you while you are doing the dishes or taking a walk? It’s because you have likely dropped into Wordlessness!

Coach’s Challenge: Practice Wordlessness this week. Notice how it immediately takes the edge off of anxiety and worry. Being in Wordlessness utilizes a different part of your brain. Not only is this state the foundation for magic, it’s a state that will help you circumvent those Life Lessons that keep stopping you!

Let me know how it goes…
