Your Very Own Faery

Your Very Own Faery

“What’s with the faery meditation on your website?”

I’ll answer with a question of my own. Which of you doesn’t need another ally when it comes to healing, to balancing your life, to finding peace, to feeling full of sparkling energy? Not to mention a being that can bring assistance in the form of ideas, answers, money, people… on and on. So THAT’s what’s with the Faery Meditation on my website. It’s a guided meditation designed to introduce you to your own personal faery.

I’ve gotten to hike in one of my favorite forests twice in the last couple of weeks, at Salt Creek County Park, en route to Striped Peak – it’s one of the places I’m most inspired. You probably have a place like it, where ideas flow with more ease, “downloads” come to you, flashes of insight. I hope you’re getting to spend time there, wherever it is for you!

That’s where these thoughts about “green magic” came from. Some of it relates to the daydreaming I do as I create my middle grade fantasy series, the contemporary Neverland sequel starring girls, entitled Piper Pan and Her Merry Band. But I’ve also been searching for the parallels between my fiction and the real-world message I’m interested in spreading.

Let’s start with what I mean when I say “magic.”  You could use the word “miracle” interchangeably as I use it – so if your religious orientation is such that the word “magic” puts you off, just mentally insert “miracle.” The qualities I associate with magic are: effortlessness, flow, and synchronicity.

Now, on to Green Magic. Here’s what came to me while walking in the woods. White and Black Magic seem to be about power – with polar opposite approaches, and intent. But Green Magic is about harmony, healing, balance, creativity and growth. Green Magic isn’t something you wield; it’s an energy you can connect to if you choose. It’s the energy of the forest, of the ocean, of nature.  It has carried many names across time; but since this isn’t about comparative philosophies or religion, I’ll just call it Green Magic here.

I will say that faeries are one embodiment of Green Magic. Your faery can be your Green Magic go-between.  I have never seen a faery with my eyes. I have felt them, I have imagined them – and from where I stand at this point in life, unseen allies can be just as powerful as physical ones.

In connecting to the energy of green magic, you can be helped by it, (receive that healing, balancing, creative energy), and you can focus and empower it to assist another being.  But how do you connect to it? This is where your very own faery comes in. I don’t care if talking to your faery means you are talking to yourself, or to an imaginary friend. IT WORKS! That’s the bottom line as far as I’m concerned.

Coach’s Challenge: I want you to have my faery meditation.  Go visit the Next Great Visionary Business contest, register yourself (id & password – both can be your e-mail address), and vote here. You will have to register to vote, and you can easily unsubscribe from Maggie’s list once the contest is over. When you’ve voted (**and I will never know who has voted or whether you’ve voted for me), e-mail me at lindy@wecansoar.com. Put I VOTED in the subject line, and I’ll e-mail you the link to download the faery meditation.  If I signed you on to receiving my newsletter after a reading instead of you doing it yourself, you’ve never had access to the meditation. It’s a 15 minute meditation, and a life-time of value!
