Within the last 3 weeks, I presented the first 2 steps of Martha Beck’s “Magic,” or how to manifest. Here are all 4 steps:
- Wordlessness
- Oneness
- Imagining
- Forming
Step three, Imagining, is to be done while engaged in the first two steps. While you are in that state underneath your mental chatter, and connected to everything that is – which also could be called “love,” the instruction is to begin imagining in vivid detail the stuff of your dreams. Your book published, on the NYT Bestseller list. Your Music Conservatory in full swing. Your Financial Counseling Service serving the good of all its clientele, plus your personal financial freedom.
You get the idea. Take your dream, and, like a coloring book, fill it in with colorful details. Sensory details. The murmur of anticipation in the auditorium when your students give their first concert. The feel of your happy clients’ hands when you shake them. The sight of their smiles. The warm glow of contentment as you attain the respect of your dream professional peers.
The thing about being in Wordlessness and Oneness while doing this is you will not be able to imagine something contrary to the highest good of all, and remain in those states. It’s an integrity self-ejecting clause. Pretty darn handy! After all, you want what you manifest to support your life journey, not sabotage it.
I wanted to report back to you on my experiment this week, attempting to stay in Wordlessness and Oneness as much as possible, to see if I would accomplish anything or just veg-out. First: an admission: it was much harder to stay in those states than I had anticipated. So whatever results I got, I was from my only semi-successful attempt. Here’s my report: when I made my “what I accomplished this week” list for my Sunday Summit, the list was longer than it has been in some time. I got a lot done without the sensation of exhaustion! Good progress… I also struggled with my Life Lesson a LOT this week. Don’t know if the two are related, or not. At least I could see it was my own patterns and beliefs getting in the way, not something external.
I hope you will begin to experiment with this 4-step how to manifest process, and let me know what results you experience. Leave a comment!
