Calling Humorous Speakers!
We at Skwim Toastmasters have decided to do it again. The showcase will be held on Saturday, June 13th, 2020, 2 to 5pm, in the same venue as last year—the Trinity United Methodist Church in Sequim.
This year we have decided to select our 9 speakers by audition. Of course we thought of you; you are part of what made last year such a success. You would need to use a different humorous speech than the one you shared with us last June.
We are asking for a video of the material you would be presenting—submitted by Friday, March 30th. (You can submit anytime before that date.)
There are two ways to do this:

After uploading your video, be sure to at least do Step 1 and Step 5.
When you publish, choose Private video and invite us to view it.

Our audition committee will be viewing videos, choosing the top 9 performers. We will notify everyone, either way, by April 5th.
As you choose or create your material, keep in mind that our audience in Sequim is largely retired folks. You will be most successful by choosing topics that concern them or touch their lives, like: health, money, pets, family, grandchildren, travel, death, downsizing, leaving a legacy, and so forth.
We aim to top last year’s event attendance (140 people)—and match or surpass the quality. It will be a fabulous and fun place to perform!

P.S. FYI, There will be an auction attached to the event: part silent, part live. We are establishing a scholarship fund for the next D32 International Speech Semi-Finalist to help them reach for becoming World Champion!
