I get to go attend Evie Kane’s Shamanic Journeying Workshop this Saturday. When I spoke to my accountability buddy, she gave me a wonderful wish:
“May you travel with beginner eyes!”
Such a perfect wish! And so right-on. The River Thrive group coaching program began this week, its maiden voyage into the world. Going through the process of doing something for the very first time reminds me daily of the potential benediction of “beginnerness.” (I just invented that word!)
Habitually, I suffer from perfectionism, a driven mind-set that seems to seek the weaknesses of what I’m creating, always striving toward a better version. The pitfall is falling prey to self-criticism, of never making space for self-congratulation, or for celebrating victories.
(When you can use this drive to improve while letting criticism slide off you like water off a duck’s back, you are truly on the Master Path of the Innovator energies in your soul purpose blueprint!)
The gift of being a beginner is experiencing wonder. Wonder is one of the 3 essential ingredients in expanding your ability to receive. Last week I wrote about your receiving limit—an energetic reality beyond which you cannot comfortably remain open to receiving.
Opening your energetic receiving limit is something I actively work on with my clients, through the “Support from Lindy” Remote Reiki program, and now through The River Thrive Group Coaching Program as well.
The River Thrive is closed for this round, but after the 90 days is complete, the program will be available as a do-it-yourself program. So if you missed it this time, you’ll have another chance.
I look forward to telling you about what happens as I travel with Beginner Eyes… I’ll also introduce you to the second necessary ingredient in expanding your ability to receive. Stay tuned!
Coach’s Challenge: Whatever you are doing this week, may you do it with Beginner Eyes. May you see it as if for the first time, and experience the wonder that ensues.
