The #1 Stopper to Happiness

I’ve got my fingers on the pulse of the #1 stopper to happiness. At least my own, and very possibly, yours as well:

Judgement.

That’s it, in a nutshell. To learn how you can use this insight to vastly increase your daily joy, read on.

I traveled to Los Angeles 10 days ago, to attend a shamanic journeying workshop presented by my friend Evie Kane, Licensed Psychotherapist, Licensed Ordained Minister and Shamanic Practitioner.

Before I left, I was in an awful funk. (Read depressed to beat the band.) I set my intention to have the cloud lifted. And it has been, which is where the opening insight comes in.

I was stuck in my Life Lesson: struggling with feelings of failure, low self esteem, and feeling like I didn’t belong. (Do you know what your Life Lesson is? You can find out by receiving a Life Purpose Hand Analysis, one of the services I provide.)

This was my second time through the basic shamanic journeying workshop. The first time, Tarantula showed up as my Power Animal. This time it was Crow.

On thing about crows: they can be seen as wonderful birds, or terrible ones. It completely depends on the lens and experience of the viewer.

Do you see where I’m going here yet? I realized I can increase my happiness 100% by changing my lens, my perception.

Your perception determines how you see something. Perception has judgment already built in. It’s a lens telling you what is good and what is bad in your life. It is this very lens that determines your happiness.

Judgment is the #1 stopper to happiness.

Ergo, when you remove the lens, things aren’t good or bad, they just are. Life is about being fully ourselves. Being. Whatever we do is an extension of who we are being.

You are like crow: perfect when judgment is removed. Your life is perfect right now. What remains is for you to stop judging it, and start reveling in it.

Coach’s Challenge: Enjoy Your Life. Try it this week. Just for a day, perhaps. Lift your judgment about yourself. Simply embrace what is. Make believe you’ve already fully achieved your Life Purpose. Achievements, creations, acquisitions, relationships, they’ve all succeeded beyond your wildest dreams. With that as the assumption, you can fully relax. Now you get to simply enjoy your life.
