It’s officially Springtime this week! Here in the Northwest, blooms have been blooming and temperatures mild for some time.
But I know Spring is really here when I see the babies. Behind my house is a 12-acre field that hosts the National Park mules in the winter and local cows in the summer. During March it’s usually vacant so the grass can begin to recover. But April brings the cows, the bull, and best of all, the calves. They’re romping around like puppies, wagging their tails and all!
What animal isn’t absolutely adorable as a baby? Even humans are pretty irresistible in that vulnerable, unself-conscious baby phase.
Which brings me to today’s message. It’s short and sweet. There is enormous power in new life. Please, take advantage of the power of new life, especially when yours is no longer so very new.
In The River Thrive program, we’ve been exploring and experimenting with ways to allow more “inflow” when things get rough. Rather than immediately pushing ourselves harder, to pause instead, to breathe, and choose an activity that actively nurtures us. By doing this we restore our reserves and make it possible to flow through the challenges with much more ease. We’re having fun, by the way!
Coach’s Challenge: Seek out new life this week to fill up your reserves. Be it plant, animal, human, or something else, spend some time around new life and let it feed you. Leave a comment to tell us what you choose and how it powers up your flow!
