Yearning for a Life You Love

Have you ever felt this hope? It’s what I felt everyday for years and years.

“It was the hope that life could and deserved to be better for me. It was a hope that one day, wherever that version of my life was, it would present itself in a way that allowed me to leap and cling and claim it so adamantly that it could never let me go or push me away.”

Nooks & Crannies, by Jessica Lawson. (changed from 3rd to 1st person by Lindy MacLaine for the purpose of this newsletter)

It might seem odd that I send you a note about yearning when the focus of tomorrow’s holiday is gratitude. The truth is, yearning and gratitude coexist every day.

Gratitude speeds the rate at which that which you yearn for arrives. In the words of my dear friend Perrilee, “It’s not happiness that brings us gratitude—it’s gratitude that brings us happiness.”

But gratitude isn’t there to gloss over or bury our yearnings.

Let me fly in the face of the “be happy with what you’ve got” police, and acknowledge the rightness and power of yearning for a life you love. This is a fundamental yearning; one ignited in our powerlessness as children, and sadly, only eclipsed for some by adding the yearning to a heartbreaking list of regrets.

There are 2 things that keep you from being one of those heartbroken souls: clarity, and courage. You have to know what you want, and you have to claim the courage to take the required to get there.

Clarity and courage are two things my clients repeatedly demonstrate after working with me: whether a Life Purpose Hand Analysis, The River Thrive 90 day home-study program, Reiki Energetic Support, one-on-one coaching, or all of the above.

Clarity and courage are by no means a given. For most people, confusion and fear reign. Clarity and courage come through making a commitment to yourself—to doing this inner work. I’m on this Earth as a Guide to the Inner Self. Let me take your hand, and we’ll walk through your crisis of meaning and into clarity and courage, together.

I’m here for you and your sacred promise to fulfill your yearning for a life you love.

Coach’s Challenge: Tomorrow, as you fill your heart with gratitude and celebrate Thanksgiving in its soulful essence, take note of your yearnings. And give thanks for the clarity and the courage to fulfill the life you love. Promise yourself you will ask for and receive all the help you need along the way. When will now be the time?
